WHY WE’RE UPGRADING:
Your current Plesk account is powered by Parallels® Virtuozzo 4.X, which is reaching its scheduled end of life (EOL). To keep your service current, we’re migrating our Plesk server(s) to a server that’s running the latest version of Parallels Cloud Server 6. You can learn more about the Parallels Server Lifecycle Policy here:
WHAT EXACTLY IS BEING UPGRADED?
Only the core software which powers our (dv) 4.0 Server(s) is being upgraded. This will NOT change the operating system, IP address(es), hosting settings, or the price of your service. After the upgrade the server will run even faster and more reliably.
WILL THERE BE DOWNTIME?
Yes, depending on the total number and size of files on the server. But we will work hard to keep this very brief downtime to an absolute minimum. If you’re worried about how the downtime may affect you, please update this support request or contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
Nothing. In the unlikely event that any errors occur during the upgrade, your server will be automatically rolled back, and we will notify you of any problems while we resolve any issues.
