This is to inform you of important changes to the domain transfer policy, which will take effect for our domain registration platform on January 26, 2017. These changes affect all domain name registrants and resellers, regardless of their domain name provider. This new policy is set by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and must be applied by all domain name registrars. In an effort to reduce fraud and domain hijacking, updates to certain fields in a domain’s primary contact information will lock the domain and prevent transfers for 60 days:
As your domain name provider, we have updated our systems to be fully compliant with minimal impact to you and your customers. However, we advise you to communicate this change to your internal teams (Customer Service, etc.) or other stakeholders due to the nature of the change.
